FOCUSING THE EYE PIECES Be sure the eye pieces are in focus for you. If both eye pieces can be focused, set them at 0 and then with a narrow slit on either the focusing rod or on the patient's closed lid, be sure that both eye pieces are in simultaneous focus. If not adjust to bring the slit in focus. If only one eye piece can be focused, using only the eye with the eyepiece that can not be focused, be sure the slit is in focus on the focusing rod (#1) or the patient's closed lid. Then looking through the other eye piece, adjust it to bring the slit in focus. If you are not familiar with the instrument it is suggested that you go through the segment on the Instrument Controls and Maintenance before continuing with this module.
